Bechtel to Build More for AI Factories
The AI Factory Era needs an EPC Prime, Bechtel announces it will fill the gap.
Today’s GTC announcements included a nice-sized data dump on the Nvidia factory of the future. AI factories, build with Jensen Huang’s trademark “extreme codesign,” require intense sophistication in bringing the individual pieces together. But what they also require is an EPC prime that can do the knitting of generation, load, and load-adjacent infrastructure. This means power, water, civil, and compute collapsed into one risk-managed program, delivered repeatedly at 100-MW to gigawatt scale.
Today at the Nvidia GTC Expo booths, I ran into the Bechtel folks. And today, Bechtel published its announcement: Bechtel to Accelerate AI Data Center Construction with NVIDIA.
