Virtual Power Plants are critical self-reliance tools. Consumers invest in self-enablement and safety. The grid gets additional market benefits and should pay for them.
Below is a syllabus prepared for education on virtual power plant regulated and competitive retail business models. Either of these basic business models can apply in your state, utility service area, or privatized community energy network. The syllabus will grow with time, and starts with foundational principles to guide you in your efforts to convince local stakeholders, electric service companies, and policymakers to enable these programs in your state.
